Flindt Andersen has been in recovery since 2001 and, in 2009, founded Parents & Addicts In Need, a nonprofit organization specializing in rehabilitation services, emotional support and community outreach for those affected by addiction. Driven by the alarming rise in addiction and substance abuse, Flindt established New Perceptions North to make a lasting impact on individuals and families affected by the crisis. Witnessing the devastating effects of addiction firsthand, he was inspired to launch a treatment center that provides specialized care, addresses the unique needs of each client, offers a pathway to recovery, and empowers clients to reclaim their lives and build a future free from substance dependency.

Flindt remains a committed advocate in the fight against this epidemic. He shares critical insights as a frequent speaker for professional groups and media and is the creator of the podcast Don’t Hide the Scars. The podcast aims to transparently communicate the hard truth about addiction and drug culture - a truth more important than ever as the Opioid and Fentanyl Crisis deepens in our communities.
